Buckeye Careers

As part of the Office of Student Life, Buckeye Careers is a university-wide initiative designed to support students throughout their professional development, with a focus on connecting them with local, national and global organizations.

Professionals from this office can assist students in determining their skills and talents and how those can be mapped to career goals. Assistance can be offered with a variety of topics, including translating skills gained from military service into "civilian language" for resumes, salary negotiation, job search etiquette, company research and getting ready for the job search or obtaining an advanced degree.

Once a student determines their career focus, taking advantage of assistance with job search, career preparation and  internships/experiential learning can help with employment success.

Handshake

Handshake is Ohio State's university-wide position-posting system where students have access to search and apply for part-time jobs, internships, co-ops and full-time career opportunities. Thousands of jobs, internship and career opportunities are posted in Handshake as well as information on upcoming career fairs and on-campus recruiting events.
